NC A&T 2025 Town & Gown Celebration: An Evening with Deborah Cox

The 2025 North Carolina A&T State University Town & Gown Celebration brought together distinguished guests, community leaders, and alumni in Greensboro, North Carolina for an evening centered around artistry, influence, and connection.

Blossom Artistry had the honor of providing elevated floral design for this signature Greensboro event, transforming the space into a refined, immersive experience for guests attending “An Evening with Deborah Cox.”

Hosted in Greensboro, North Carolina, this year’s Town & Gown event welcomed Deborah Cox as the featured guest for “An Evening with Deborah Cox.”

The evening highlighted her remarkable career across music and Broadway, while also celebrating the university’s long-standing connection to the Piedmont Triad community.

For this event, our design approach focused on timeless sophistication with a soft, organic feel.

Design Highlights:

• Neutral white + soft green palette for a clean, elevated aesthetic

• Layered low centerpieces to encourage conversation while maintaining visual interest

• Tall statement arrangements framing the stage for maximum impact

• Lush greenery movement to soften the ballroom space

• Floating candle installations for warmth and ambiance

The goal was to create a cohesive environment that felt:

• Elevated but welcoming

• Formal without feeling overly rigid

• Visually impactful both in-person and on camera

Transforming the Reception Space

The reception design featured beautifully styled guest tables with:

• Gold chiavari chairs and specialty linens

• Fine china and layered place settings

• Structured floral centerpieces with intentional depth

Each table was designed as part of a larger visual story, ensuring the entire ballroom felt cohesive, polished, and immersive.

Statement Stage Florals

One of the most impactful design moments was the stage installation, where we created:

• Large-scale elevated arrangements in classic white vessels

• A full floral stage front for depth and visual framing

• Clean symmetry to complement the formal speaking program

This design ensured that every moment on stage—from speaking to performances—was framed with elegance.
